A SUMMER SERENADE
Bolton Cancer Voices is delighted to be presenting their first concert since Covid. The dedicated Choir for cancer patients and cancer survivors, which celebrated its 12th Birthday last week, is super excited to finally be back entertaining audiences. Whilst cancer brings the Choir together what unites them is their love of music, the pleasure derived from entertaining others, learning new skills, rising to the latest challenge and the enjoyment of fun-filled rehearsals. This inspirational Choir has determinedly never allowed the disease to define or restrict them, bearing testimony to living life with and beyond cancer.
Their concert – ‘A Summer Serenade’ takes place on Friday 19th July, 7-30pm; at Brookfield Hall, Peel Terrace, Westhoughton BL5 3SP. Tickets are limited and available at £8-00 via members or through the Ticket Secretary on 01204 595562 / 07773 164235.
Karen Elliott – Founder & Chair of the Choir said:-
‘We are so looking forward to this event, it’s going to be very special on so many levels: it’s our first concert in over 4 years, our inaugural concert with Katie – our new Musical Director, the first performance experience for many of our new members and sadly the final concert for our retiring Accompanist – Mark, who’s been with us on our musical journey almost since the start.
It’s an exciting programme of popular music, being delivered in a beautiful venue: there couldn’t be a better way to relax on a summer’s evening. Everyone’s been working really hard and we’re hoping for a sell-out event: we’ve so missed the buzz that comes from live-performance!’
