INSPIRATIONAL CHOIR SINGING OUT FOR NEW MEMBERS
Bolton Cancer Voices, one of the country’sfew dedicated Choirs for people living with or beyond cancer, is excitedly looking forward to the coming months, which will see them performing for a Gala Dinner at Chester Racecourse and holding their first Christmas concert since 2019, in Bolton’s beautiful Parish Church. Keen to give more people the opportunity to be involved in these forthcoming events, the Choir is reaching out to connect with potential new members.
Membership is open to anyone 18 years and over, who has received a cancer diagnosis of any kind at any time. There are no geographical restrictions, as long as you can travel to the centre of Bolton for rehearsals on Monday evenings: membership is free, there are no auditions to worry about and you don’t need to be able to read music. Whether a seasoned performer, a closet diva, wanting to give singing a try or looking to connect in a positive, fun and inspirational way with a cancer community, they would love to hear from you.
Karen Elliott, Founder & Chair of the Choir said:-
‘Singing in a Choir is such an uplifting, joyous and indeed therapeutic thing to do.
Whatever stage you are at in your cancer journey or beyond, we’d really love to have you with us. We are brought together by cancer and we provide an environment where people can connect with others who are going through or have been through a similar experience: but like other community Choirs, what unites us is our love of music; the joy of singing; learning something new; sharing great choral experiences; having fun and entertaining others.
This is the perfect time to get involved.’
