In a first for the Greater Manchester Police Band, they are to be the guests of Bolton Cancer Voices at the Choir’s annual ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert on Saturday 5th December 2015 in the Victoria Hall, Bolton.

The band, which has a proud history stretching back to its Salford roots of 1877 when it was formed following the funeral of a Police Officer, has evolved over the decades into a much-acclaimed 40-strong Symphonic Wind Band, coupled with an outstanding Marching Band who undertake many high profile parades and public ceremonies.
The band is conducted by Mr Jonathan Taylor, an Honours graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music: an accomplished composer, Jonathan has written music for Orchestras and Bands, as well as for stage and screen.
Mr Taylor said:
Tickets for ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ will be available priced £5-00 from the beginning of September.
The Choir, which celebrates their third birthday at the end of this month, have a further two appearances planned before getting down to rehearsals for their exciting festive programme. More of what the Choir has been up to can be seen on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/BoltonCancerinfoport
