‘SONGS & SUPPER’ INVITATION
Date Posted: 24-07-2018
Bolton Cancer Voices are staging a concert with a difference, on Friday 3rd August, when we are inviting people to join us for ‘Songs & Supper’; at Bolton’s famous Olympus Restaurant, on Great Moor Street.
There is still time to book a table for the event; tickets are
£17-50, which includes fish and chips; dessert; tea/coffee: a licensed bar is available.
We are delighted to have Guy Porteous, resident pianist at the restaurant, as our guest accompanist for the concert. Doors open at 7pm for 7-30pm.
Karen Elliott, Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: –
‘We’re very much looking forward to this event; it’s unlike anything we’ve tried before.
‘Songs & Supper’ is the only concert we will be staging in the town centre this year: as our engagement at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in November, means we’ll sadly have insufficient time to rehearse for our usual ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert; so we hope our supporters will give this a try instead.
People can enjoy a drink; have a lovely meal and relax to a super programme of well-known songs.’
Profits from the event will go towards the costs associated with the Choir’s forthcoming appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, where we are participating in the ‘Festival of Brass and Voices’.
Tickets for ‘Songs & Supper’ are limited, so early booking is advisable.
